I have been a bit stuck in my thoughts the last few weeks so I thought it would be a good time to pick up the ole’ pen and once again get acquainted with blank pages and roaming thoughts.  I’ve been thinking a lot about new friendships, lost friendships, hesitations in my artwork, my job, money, living in Chicago, love and growing up.  There is nothing to figure out and nothing to be upset about.  Instead, I write to recognize these things, breathe them in, and keep moving forward.  My biggest fear is becoming numb to life and all of its textures.  For this reason I find it necessary to do what I can to record the growing dimensions that happen in my journey.  Whether its taking pictures, painting, sketching or simply writing; the things we capture now will help us to recognize all the things we have been lucky enough to experience.  So take a moment to find joy in your growth, capture your thoughts and make an intentional effort to regularly recognize that your life is moving forward-make the most of it!

Hi there! I just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you that I found your blog about 30 minutes ago (you’re a twitter follower of mine), and I have been completely distracted since. You write beautifully and honestly (the later being the most important).

I especially loved this post the most (of the ones I read)…mainly because I’ve personally forgotten to stop/think/write lately. As a fellow blogger, I find most of my writing comes in the form of a new post. Thanks for the encouragement to write for myself!

Cheers!! :)
